Born and raised in a small coastal town in Iceland, Alaric Everhart grew up surrounded by breathtaking landscapes and a deep appreciation for nature’s beauty. His fascination with light and shadows began at a young age when he would watch the auroras dance across the night sky.
At 18, Alaric left his hometown with nothing but a vintage film camera inherited from his grandfather, who was a maritime photographer. He spent years traveling across Europe, documenting everyday moments in bustling cities and serene countryside villages. His ability to find beauty in the mundane quickly gained attention, earning him features in small art galleries in Paris and Berlin.
Alaric’s work is characterized by its storytelling quality. Whether capturing the fleeting expression of a passerby or the contrast of a solitary tree against a foggy backdrop, his images evoke emotion and curiosity. Over time, his portfolio expanded to include urban landscapes, portraiture, and experimental abstract photography.
Now based in Amsterdam, Alaric continues to explore new styles while teaching photography workshops and contributing to art installations. His dream is to one day publish a photobook that encapsulates the raw beauty of the world as he sees it.
